What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact forms
We use Gravity Forms for our email contact form. Gravity automatically stores your name, email address and message on the server on which this site is hosted. We keep this information indefinitely for our own records and to make sure we have followed up with everybody who has contacted us. You may contact the data controller and request that this information be deleted.
If you contact us through the Contact page form we will use the information provided by you solely for the purpose of replying to your query. You will not be added to any newsletter or other form of marketing or communication.
If you sign up for our email newsletter during product purchase, you may receive occasional emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
When you submit an email using the contact form you may be asked to click the ReCAPTCHA button. ReCAPTCHA is a service provided by Google that allows us to confirm that only real people and not spambots are able to submit our contact forms. When you tick the box that says “I’m not a robot”, Google place a cookie called NID in your browser, that communicates information such as what language your browser is set to, the date, how many mouse clicks you have made on the screen, and what other Google cookies you may have on your device.https://developers.google.com/recaptcha.
Product purchases
If you purchase one of our albums or tracks, we keep your name and email details as a record of your purchase and licence. This enables us to reissue your licence or resend download links in the event of you losing your original links. This information is held on our website host server and is protected by the host’s security measures as well as by our own measures (e.g. Wordfence security monitoring). You may ask us to delete this information.
We will never sell this information or use it in any way other than to provide you with the service related to your purchase.
The actual financial processing of your purchase is handled by Easy Digital Downloads and Paypal and is subject to their privacy controls. We do not hold any credit card or banking details.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to provide us with information about how our website is used, such as what countries our visitors are browsing from, and what pages are the most popular. The data gathered is anonymous and can not be used to identify individual users.
You may block the collection of the data generated by the cookie and the data related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing a browser plugin available from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Who we share your data with
We do not intentionally share your information with any other party.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Email contact form submissions may also be checked by automated spam detection service such as Google reCAPTCHA.
